June Bae is a director born in Seoul, South Korea and raised in Houston, Texas. He moved to Detroit, Michigan after graduating from the University of Michigan with a degree in Screen Arts and Culture, a fancy term for film studies.

 

His career began at a local news station creating terrible jingle commercials. It wasn't glamorous work, but those early years helped shape his creativity and resourcefulness as a director, finding every opportunity to elevate any project that comes his way. Since then he's directed commercials for brands such as Gillette, Japan Airlines, and PayPal. 

 

He now resides in Los Angeles, California but strangely misses the harsh Michigan winters.
